History
- 1885, October – South Molton & District Conservative Club founded
– rented rooms at 9 King Street
- 1890, October 22nd – Joined with Liberal Unionist to become Constitutional Club
- 1895, September 11th – Moved to former Borough Restaurant premises
at 2 South Street, rented from South Molton Town Council
- 1903 – Moved to new rented premises purchased by Dr Hatherley
at 21 Broad Street, formerley “The Goblet”.
- 1914, June 15th – Dr Hatherley sells 21 Broad Street to Constitutional Club
for £750, with mortgage repayments of £25 per year.
- 1976 – Constitutional Club reverts back to its original name Conservative Club
